The grand lobby of the Oakridge mansion was a sea of glittering diamonds, flowing silk, and clinking champagne glasses. Marcus stood at the center of it all, the undisputed king of his domain. At fifty-one, with his silver-blonde hair perfectly coiffed and wearing a custom black velvet tuxedo, he exuded an aura of untouchable wealth. His current wife, Sarah, floated beside him in a spectacular white silk evening gown, playing the perfect hostess. But the harmony of the evening was abruptly shattered when a small, disheveled figure appeared near the white grand piano.

It was Leo, a ten-year-old boy with chestnut brown hair, wearing a worn-out brown suede jacket that had seen far better days. He looked entirely out of place among the high-society guests, who shrank back as if his poverty were contagious. Marcus, annoyed by the intrusion, stepped forward to confront the child.

"Play one song, kid," Marcus sneered, his voice dripping with condescension. "If you impress me, maybe you won't sleep on the street tonight."

The guests chuckled softly, expecting the boy to run away in tears. Instead, Leo walked calmly to the piano, sat on the polished bench, and pressed his fingers to the keys. The melody that emerged was delicate and hauntingly beautiful. Within seconds, the room fell into a stunned silence. Marcus’s smug smirk vanished, replaced by a sudden, violent shock. His heart hammered against his ribs as he recognized the tune. It was a private lullaby, a song his late wife Clara had composed for their unborn baby ten years ago. It had never been written down, let alone published.

"No," Marcus gasped, taking a step back. "That melody was never published. Only my missing child knew that song."

Leo stopped playing, his hands resting on the keys. He looked up at Marcus with fierce, unwavering resolve.

"Then ask your wife why my mother died with your family ring," Leo said.

In the background, Sarah gasped in absolute terror, her face turning as white as her gown.
