Previously: When a dusty street boy interrupted a millionaire's luxury dinner claiming he could cure his paralysis in seconds, everyone laughed. But as the boy counted to two, the impossible happened.

A Miracle Born from Treachery

The restaurant fell into a stunned, dead silence. Charles’s hands gripped the armrests of his high-tech wheelchair, his knuckles turning white. His legs, which had been dead weights for half a decade, began to tremble. Slowly, miraculously, he pushed himself upward. His knees locked, supporting his weight. He was standing.

The crystal glass slipped from Diana’s fingers, shattering on the polished marble floor. Her face drained of all color, her eyes wide with a mixture of horror and disbelief. "This... this is impossible," she stammered, stepping back. "Charles, sit down! You’ll hurt yourself!"

But Charles wasn't listening. He took a shaky step forward, then another. The warmth radiating from his feet was spreading, bringing his entire lower body back to life. He looked down at Toby, who remained kneeling on the floor, looking up with solemn eyes.

"How did you do this?" Charles whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. "Who are you?"

Toby stood up, wiping a streak of dust from his forehead. His gaze shifted from Charles to Diana, his eyes turning cold.

"My name is Toby Vance," the boy said clearly. "My father was Dr. Arthur Vance. He was your lead neurologist before he died in a mysterious house fire last year."

Diana gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. She tried to signal the security guards, but Charles raised his hand, his eyes narrowing as he watched her frantic reaction. "Let the boy speak, Diana," Charles commanded, his voice dripping with sudden suspicion.

"My father discovered that your paralysis wasn't caused by your car accident, Charles," Toby revealed, his voice echoing in the quiet room. "The accident only caused minor bruising. Your permanent paralysis was caused by a rare, slow-acting neurotoxin administered to you during your recovery. Someone wanted you permanently dependent."

Charles felt a chill run down his spine. He turned his gaze slowly toward Diana, whose breath was coming in short, panicked gasps.

"And my father perfected the antidote," Toby continued, pointing a finger at Diana. "But before he could give it to you, she had him killed."
