Clara's hand trembled as she reached toward Liam. "Your wife gave it to me," Liam declared, his voice echoing in the silent ballroom. "On the night of the crash. I was the paramedic who pulled Clara from the burning vehicle. Her mother gave me this and made me promise to find Clara when she was ready to live again."
