Justin didn't scream. The silence in the room was far more deafening than any shout could have been. He looked from his wife of four years to the man he had called his brother. Christopher cleared his throat, trying to summon an explanation, but the sheer cowardice in his eyes spoke volumes. Rachel began to weep, tears streaming down her pale cheeks as she reached out to touch Justin’s arm, but he flinched away as if her touch were poison.

"How long, Christopher?" Justin asked, his voice a low, dangerous whisper that vibrated with raw pain. "How long have you been in my house, sleeping in my bed?"

Curiosity overcoming his grief, Justin approached the counter. What he found there made his stomach churn. The bank statements showed that Christopher had been systematically draining Justin’s military savings account, transferring thousands of dollars to his own personal account. But it was the medical folder that delivered the final, crushing blow. It was a positive pregnancy test, dated three months ago, alongside a fertility clinic document showing Christopher’s name as the prospective father. They hadn't just made a mistake; they had been building a new life with Justin's money while he was risking his life overseas.
