Previously: When a rugged stranger crashed a high-society gala and demanded to dance with a paralyzed girl, her wealthy father tried to throw him out. But then, a miracle happened.

A Spark of Faith

A collective gasp echoed through the grand ballroom. Thomas lunged forward, shouting for the security guards to drag Samuel away.

"Get your hands off my daughter, you lunatic!"
Thomas screamed, his voice cracking with rage. Two heavy-set security guards grabbed Samuel by the shoulders, pulling him backward. But as they began to drag him away, a sudden, sharp cry cut through the tension. It was Emily.

"Wait! Stop!"
Emily gasped, her voice trembling. Everyone froze. Thomas looked down at his daughter, his anger instantly turning into deep concern.
"Emily, sweetheart, what is it? Did he hurt you?"
he asked frantically. Emily shook her head, tears instantly welling in her golden eyes. She looked down at her legs, which had been completely devoid of sensation since the tragic car accident that had claimed her mother’s life three years ago.

"I... I felt something,"
Emily whispered, her hands gripping the armrests of her wheelchair.
"It felt like a warm wave of electricity rushing down my spine. Daddy, please, let him stay."
Thomas stared at her in disbelief, his heart pounding. The doctors had told him for years that Emily’s paralysis was permanent, that no amount of money or surgery could ever repair the damaged nerves.

Samuel, still held by the guards, looked at Emily with a gentle, encouraging smile.

"Do not fear, Emily. The power that healed you is real. Just believe,"
he said softly. The crowd watched in absolute silence as Emily took a deep breath. She looked at Samuel, then at her father, whose arrogant facade was beginning to crumble under the weight of an impossible hope.
