A Ruthless Bureaucrat Shoved a Homeless Veteran, Unaware of the Convoy Behind Him
Previously: When a corrupt corporate agent tried to steal an elderly veteran's pension and threw him to the ground, he had no idea who was watching from the shadows.
The Tables Turn
Edward’s smug demeanor vanished in an instant. His face drained of color as he looked at the four gleaming stars on General Davis’s shoulders. The busy sidewalk had come to a complete standstill, pedestrians stopping to watch the dramatic confrontation. Trembling, Edward slowly bent down, his expensive suit straining as he picked up the gold challenge coin and handed it back to Frank with shaking fingers.
"Thank you, General," Frank said, brushing the dust off his prized possession. General Davis placed a warm hand on Frank's shoulder, his stern expression softening for a brief second. "You never have to thank me, Frank. You saved my life in Fallujah. I told you I would always have your back," the General replied, his voice filled with deep respect.

Edward swallowed hard, realizing the gravity of his mistake. He tried to back away toward the security guards at the building entrance, but two heavily armed military police officers stepped out of the second SUV, blocking his path.
"Sir, this is a private corporate matter," Edward stammered, clutching his wooden clipboard like a shield. "We are handling this man's file according to company policy."
General Davis stepped closer, his presence commanding absolute obedience. "Your company policy is under federal investigation," the General declared. He snatched the wooden clipboard from Edward's weak grip, flipping through the documents. What he found inside made his eyes narrow in fury. It wasn't just Frank's pension that had been altered; there was a list of dozens of local veterans whose funds had been systematically diverted into a private offshore account.
Just then, the glass doors of the building opened again, and a man in an expensive grey suit walked out. It was Richard Vance, the CEO of Vanguard Pension Services and Edward’s uncle. Instead of apologizing, Richard glared at the General. "What is the meaning of this disruption, General Davis? You have no jurisdiction here," Richard sneered, unaware that his entire empire was about to crumble.
