Previously: When Richard walked into his family's mansion and saw his wife Sabrina physically attacking his frail grandmother, he reacted with pure fury—uncovering a massive web of greed.

A Web of Deceit Unravels

As Sabrina lay whimpering on the travertine floor, nursing her bruised jaw, Richard gently helped Clara sit up. The elderly woman was trembling violently, her breathing shallow. "She... she tried to make me sign it, Richard," Clara whispered, her voice barely audible. "She said if I didn't sign the transfer deeds tonight, I would never wake up tomorrow."

Richard’s blood ran cold. He turned his gaze toward Sabrina, who was now slowly pushing herself up, her eyes darting toward the door. "What transfer deeds?" Richard demanded, his voice dangerously low. "Sabrina, look at me!"

Sabrina let out a harsh, bitter laugh, wiping a smear of blood from her lip. "She's an old fossil, Richard! She's sitting on a forty-million-dollar estate while we scramble for scraps! I deserved this house. I've put up with this family's snobbery for five years. I was just taking what is rightfully ours."

"Ours? There is no 'ours' anymore," Richard said, his voice trembling with disgust. "You just beat a defenseless elderly woman. You're going to prison."

But Sabrina's smile was sinister. "Go ahead, call the police. By the time they get here, the bank will have already processed the digital transfer. I already have her signature, Richard. I didn't need her to sign the paper—I just needed her to authorize the biometric login on her tablet. And she did it right before you walked in."

Richard felt a wave of nausea. He looked down at Clara, who was shaking her head frantically. "I didn't, Richard... I fought her. The tablet... it's in her purse." Richard stood up, his eyes locked on Sabrina’s designer handbag discarded near the entrance. He realized then that his marriage had been a lie from the very beginning, built entirely on his wife's calculated greed.
