The ballroom erupted into chaos. Security and medical staff rushed to Victoria’s side, while Clara stood frozen, still clutching her mother's pendant. Within minutes, Victoria was carried to a private, luxurious parlor upstairs. To Clara’s terror, the estate manager summoned her to the room. She was convinced her life was over and she would be blamed for the matriarch’s sudden collapse.

When Clara entered the dimly lit parlor, she found Victoria sitting on a velvet sofa, sipping water. The older woman looked fragile, stripped of her formidable high-society armor.
