Two burly security guards rushed forward, their hands hovering near their belts as they surrounded Julian. Valerie smirked, crossing her arms in triumph. She expected Julian to beg for mercy or try to run, but he simply stood his ground, slipping the key fob into his pocket.

"Take him away,"

Valerie demanded, her voice echoing across the silent garden.

"He is a trespasser and a thief. He has no right to be on my late stepfather's property, let alone touching his personal vehicle."

Before the guards could grab Julian's arm, a commanding voice interrupted the tension.

"Stand down immediately,"

said Arthur Sterling, the senior executor of the estate, stepping out from the crowd. Valerie’s smirk widened. She assumed the family’s trusted lawyer had arrived to back up her claims and throw the intruder out.

"Arthur, thank goodness,"

Valerie said, smoothing her cream trench coat.

"Explain to this garbage that my stepfather's estate is private property. He actually had the audacity to claim my father's Rolls Royce belongs to him."

Arthur Sterling looked at Valerie with a mixture of pity and professional coldness. He adjusted his glasses and pulled a sealed leather portfolio from his briefcase.

"Actually, Valerie, Julian is telling the absolute truth,"

Arthur announced, his voice carrying clearly to the gathered crowd.

"The Rolls Royce does belong to him. In fact, so does this entire estate."

A collective gasp rippled through the guests. Valerie’s face drained of color.

"What are you talking about?"

she stammered, her voice cracking.

"I am the only heir! My stepfather promised me everything in his will!"
