"I don't care who you are," he snapped. "This woman is bankrupt. The property belongs to the bank, and by extension, my firm. Get out."

Dylan smiled, a cold, confident expression that made the developer flinch. He reached into his leather briefcase and pulled out a gold-embossed folder, sliding it over the counter directly over the foreclosure notice.

"Actually, Mr. Sterling, you are mistaken," Dylan said smoothly. "My brothers and I did quite well for ourselves. Meet Marcus, our real estate attorney; Leo, our financial director; and Toby, our chief contractor. And as for the bank holding Beatrice’s debt? We bought it out entirely yesterday morning."

Sterling’s face drained of color as his lawyers frantically scanned the documents.

"This... this is impossible! You bought the entire holding company?" one lawyer stammered.

"Every single share," Dylan replied firmly. "And as the new owners, we have officially forgiven Beatrice’s debt. Not only that, but we have established a trust fund to completely renovate this entire block, protecting it from predatory developers like you. You are trespassing on private property. Leave."

Defeated and humiliated, Sterling and his associates rushed out of the diner. The door slammed shut, leaving a stunned silence in their wake.

Beatrice looked at the four men, her eyes overflowing with tears. Dylan walked behind the counter and pulled her into a fierce, protective hug, followed closely by his brothers.

"You saved us when we had nothing," Dylan whispered against her hair. "You told us hungry children didn't need to earn kindness. Well, Mama B, you earned this. We built our lives so we could come back and build yours."

The diner was saved, transformed into a community kitchen funded by the brothers, where no child would ever go hungry.
