Previously: Eleanor thought she could publicly humiliate her ex-husband Julian by accusing him of stealing a luxury car, but she didn't realize who actually owned the estate.

The Confrontation Escalates

Within seconds, two burly security guards in dark suits rushed over, flanked by Eleanor’s new fiancé, Richard, a prominent real estate developer who loved nothing more than a public display of power. Richard adjusted his gold watch and sneered at Julian.

"Is there a problem here, darling?" Richard asked Eleanor, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"This thief is trying to steal someone's Rolls Royce, Richard," Eleanor declared triumphantly. "He probably snuck into the party just to steal from the guests. Look at him, pretending he belongs here."

The head of security, a stern man named Marcus, stepped between Julian and Eleanor. He looked at Julian, then at the keys in Julian's hand, and finally at Eleanor.

"Ma'am, are you sure about this accusation?" Marcus asked, his voice surprisingly calm.
"Of course I'm sure!" Eleanor snapped, her patience wearing thin. "I know this man. He’s my ex-husband. He’s a failed consultant who couldn't even afford his half of our rent three years ago. There is absolutely no way he owns a half-million-dollar vehicle. Arrest him, or I will make sure the host of this estate hears about your incompetence!"

Richard chimed in, eager to impress his fiancée.

"You heard her, officer. Get this trash off the property before I call the police myself. We don't want people like him ruining a high-society event."

The crowd murmured, whispering among themselves as they watched Julian. Some looked at him with pity, while others sneered, believing Eleanor's confident accusations. Julian, however, simply slipped his hands into his suit pockets. He looked directly at Marcus, the head of security, and gave a subtle nod.

"Go ahead, Marcus," Julian said quietly. "Do what you need to do."

Instead of grabbing Julian, Marcus turned around, stood at attention, and did something that made Eleanor's jaw drop.
