Previously: When stylish Harper tried to humiliate a local delivery driver in front of a wealthy crowd at a car meet, she never expected him to pull out a matching key fob.

The Click That Changed Everything

Harper’s smirk wavered for a fraction of a second, but she quickly recovered her composure. She assumed he was bluffing, probably reaching for a cheap wallet or a phone to take a picture. But as Jackson’s hand emerged from his pocket, he wasn't holding a phone. Resting in his palm was a sleek, black Porsche key fob, perfectly color-matched to the vehicle behind her.

With a smooth flick of his thumb, Jackson pressed the unlock button. Instantly, the Porsche’s amber LED running lights flashed. The side mirrors unfolded with a soft mechanical whine. Before Harper could even process what was happening, Jackson pressed another button on the remote. The twin-turbocharged flat-six engine roared to life with a deep, menacing growl that echoed off the surrounding buildings, sending a literal vibration through the asphalt beneath their feet.

The crowd gasped. Several onlookers chuckled, whispering to one another as they watched Harper's face drain of all color. The smug expression she had worn so proudly shattered into a mask of pure disbelief and horror. "No... that’s impossible," she stammered, stepping back from the vibrating car as if it had suddenly turned into a monster. "You're a delivery driver! You delivered boxes to my office on Thursday! You probably stole those keys, or you're just a valet!"

She looked around frantically, desperate for someone to validate her desperate claims. But her frantic protests were cut short when an older man in a tailored suit walked over. It was Richard Sterling, the billionaire real estate mogul who organized the entire event. Richard walked right past Harper, ignoring her completely, and clapped Jackson on the shoulder. "Excellent turnout tonight, Jackson. I see you brought the new toy out of the garage," Richard said warmly, his voice carrying clearly over the murmuring crowd.
