She Mocked the Humble Delivery Driver Until He Pulled Out the Porsche Keys
Previously: When Ava spotted Logan at a high-end car meet, she couldn't resist humiliating him for his simple clothes. But her smug assumptions shattered the moment he reached into his pocket.
The Click of Truth
Logan pulled his hand from his pocket, revealing a sleek, leather-bound key fob embossed with the unmistakable crest of the German automaker. With a casual flick of his thumb, he pressed the unlock button. The Porsche's amber daytime running lights flashed instantly, accompanied by the soft, mechanical hum of the mirrors unfolding. The crowd gasped, a collective murmur rippling through the onlookers.
Ava’s face drained of color. The smug grin she had worn so proudly shattered into a mask of pure disbelief. She stared at the flashing lights, then at the keys in Logan’s hand, struggling to find her voice. "This is a trick," she thought desperately. There was no way a common delivery boy could own a vehicle worth more than her entire yearly trust fund allowance.
"You... you stole those keys," Ava stammered, her voice shaking as she took a step back. "You're a driver! I saw you carrying boxes. You're just a courier!"
Logan chuckled softly, leaning back against the fender of the beautiful machine. "I am a driver, Ava. I drive this car, and occasionally, I drive my business. But I don't just deliver packages. I own the company."
Before Ava could process his words, a sleek black town car pulled up to the edge of the display area. The door opened, and a middle-aged man in a tailored three-piece suit stepped out. It was Richard, Ava's father and the CEO of a luxury retail brand that was currently struggling to secure a critical national distribution contract.
Richard scanned the crowd, his eyes lighting up when he spotted Logan. He ignored his daughter completely and rushed forward with his hand outstretched in eager greeting.
"Mr. Vance!" Richard said warmly, his voice filled with deference. "I had no idea you would be attending tonight's showcase!"
