The silence in the kitchen was suffocating. Lorna stammered, her voice shaking as she tried to find her words. "Arthur... what are you talking about? That's a ridiculous joke. Of course Milo and Lily are yours. How could you say something like that in front of Leo?" She tried to shift the blame, playing the role of the protective mother, but her trembling hands betrayed her panic.

Arthur didn't flinch. He reached into his briefcase and pulled out a thick manila envelope, tossing it onto the kitchen island. It landed right next to the plates of food she had so lovingly prepared for her own children.

"Open it,"

Arthur commanded, his voice steady but laced with a deep, agonizing pain.

"Read the DNA paternity reports. I tested both of them. Zero percent match, Lorna. For both of them."

Lorna stared at the envelope as if it were a venomous snake. "This is a mistake," she whispered, backing away. "The clinic made a mistake. We've been married for years, Arthur! How could you do this behind my back?"

Arthur took a step closer, his eyes locked onto hers. He explained how a routine medical checkup for a minor issue had revealed that Milo's blood type was genetically impossible for Arthur to have fathered. Suspicious and heartbroken, Arthur had quietly ordered private DNA tests. The results had arrived at his office that very morning, shattering his world. But finding his wife abusing his biological son, Leo, was the final straw.

"I gave you a home, I gave your children my name, and I loved them as my own,"

Arthur said, his voice cracking with emotion.

"And in return, you treated my son like dirt and lied to me every single day of our marriage. Who is their real father, Lorna? Is it your 'old friend' from college who keeps visiting when I'm out of town?"
