She Sent a Biker Gang to Confront Her Ex, But the Truth Saved Them All
Previously: When Lily cornered her ex-fiancé Leo in a dusty diner with a ruthless biker gang, she expected a confession. Instead, she uncovered a heartbreaking sacrifice that changed everything.
The Truth in the Yellow Booth
The towering bikers surrounded the booth, effectively cutting off any hope of escape. Leo’s hands shook so violently that he had to drop the half-eaten burger back onto the plate. He looked up at Lily, his eyes pleading, but her face remained a mask of cold fury. Marcus stood directly behind her, his massive arms crossed over his chest, his presence an unspoken threat of violence.
"Where is it, Leo?" Lily asked, her voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Where is my family’s money? You took everything and ran. Did you really think I wouldn't find you?"
Leo swallowed hard, his eyes darting to the exit before locking back onto Lily. Tears began to well in his eyes, mixing with the sweat dripping down his forehead.
"Lily, please, just listen to me," Leo stammered, his voice cracking. "It’s not what you think. I didn't steal it for myself. I had to do it. I had no choice."
Marcus took a step forward, the floorboards groaning under his weight. "We don't have time for sob stories, kid," Marcus growled. "Give her the money, or we dismantle this place with you in it."
Desperate, Leo reached into his worn jacket pocket. The bikers tensed, but instead of a weapon, Leo pulled out a crumpled piece of paper and slid it across the greasy table. Lily frowned, picking up the document. As her eyes scanned the legal jargon, her breath hitched. It wasn't a bank statement or a plane ticket. It was a paid-in-full deed of ownership for the very diner they were standing in, registered under Lily’s name.
"What is this?" Lily whispered, her hand beginning to tremble. "How did you get this?"
