Furthermore, all Department of Defense contracts with your logistics company are officially terminated, effective immediately."

Arthur collapsed into a nearby chair, his face pale and ruined. Vanessa began to cry, realizing their high-society life was over in an instant. Without saying another word, Valerie turned her back on them, walking out of the ballroom with the General at her side. She didn't need their fake apologies or their glittering parties.
