Officer John kept his baton raised, slowly backing Arthur against a marble pillar while backup sirens echoed outside. "Don't move a muscle," John warned, his voice shaking with adrenaline. Arthur didn't fight back this time. Instead, he slowly raised his hands, his face pale but resolute.
