Previously: When 24-year-old Lincoln mocked 68-year-old Mabel at the shooting range, he thought she was an easy target. But one look at her signature changed everything, revealing a legendary past.

A Legacy Reclaimed

Arthur looked directly at Lincoln, whose smug expression had completely vanished. He then turned to Allan and Mabel, offering a respectful nod.

"Thirty-five years ago, a grave injustice was committed," Arthur announced to the gathered crowd. "Before Richard passed away last year, he left a notarized confession. He admitted to sabotaging his own equipment and framing Mabel because he knew he could never beat her fairly. The committee covered it up to avoid a public scandal."

Arthur pulled out an official document bearing the gold seal of the Olympic Committee.

"This is the official, retroactive exoneration of Mabel Vance. Her lifetime ban is officially overturned, and her records have been fully restored," Arthur said, handing the paper to Allan.

Allan’s eyes filled with tears as he stamped Mabel's registration form with the official green approval ink. Lincoln stood frozen, his face burning with embarrassment. He looked at the floor, unable to meet Mabel's gaze.

"I believe you owe this legendary champion an apology, young man," Allan said sternly to Lincoln.

Lincoln mumbled a quick, red-faced apology before quickly gathering his gear and leaving the range. The onlookers broke into spontaneous applause, cheering for the woman who had waited over three decades for justice.

Mabel smiled, a weight finally lifting from her shoulders. She walked back to her shooting lane, picked up her classic pistol, and took her stance. She didn't need the Olympic medal to prove who she was; she only needed the open range and the steady hand that had never betrayed her.

As she fired another perfect bullseye, Mabel proved to everyone present that while time can fade many things, true talent, dignity, and a champion's spirit are absolutely timeless.
