The air inside Aurum & Co. was thick with the scent of expensive white lilies and polished leather. Patricia adjusted the cuffs of her teal tailored jumpsuit, her eyes tracing the brilliant cut of a flawless diamond necklace nestled in a velvet display case. She had purchased the entire luxury brand only three days ago, and this unannounced visit was her way of seeing how the gears turned when the boss wasn't looking.

Suddenly, the peaceful quiet of the store was shattered by a sharp, condescending voice. "You don't belong in this store." Patricia turned slowly to find Tiffany, a prominent local socialite dressed in a shimmering rose gold satin gown, pointing a manicured finger at her. Beside Tiffany stood Edward, the store manager, his face flushed with eager-to-please desperation.

"This is a high-end establishment," Tiffany sneered, her eyes scanning Patricia's simple, logo-free attire with utter disgust. "We don't need people like you dragging down the atmosphere while we are trying to make serious purchases. Edward, why is she still here?"

Edward, recognizing Tiffany as the daughter of one of the store's wealthiest regular patrons, didn't hesitate. "I apologize, ma'am," he said to Tiffany, before turning a cold, dismissive gaze onto Patricia. "I must ask you to leave. We reserve our boutique for qualified clientele."

Patricia didn't flinch. A calm, icy smile touched her lips as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. She dialed her chief financial officer directly. "Freeze the corporate accounts," she said, her voice echoing with absolute authority. "Start the ownership review right now. And close this branch until I authorize it."

Edward’s breath caught in his throat as the reality of her words—and her face—finally registered. His eyes widened in sheer horror. As Patricia turned to walk out, the remaining store employees instantly lined up and bowed deeply to her. Patricia swept past them, leaving Tiffany and Edward standing frozen in the ruins of their own arrogance.
