The room descended into utter chaos. Ashley lay groaning on the floor, clutching her ribs, while Richard instantly threw himself over his grandmother. Ruth was gasping for air, her eyes wide with terror, but as she recognized her grandson's face, tears welled up.

"Richard... you're home,"
