The delicious aroma of roasted turkey and warm pumpkin pie filled the air of the decorated Ohio dining room. After a grueling twelve-month deployment overseas, Sergeant Matthew Miller was finally home. The physical and emotional exhaustion of combat seemed to melt away under the soft, golden glow of the holiday lights. Still wearing his immaculate dress uniform, Matthew sat at the dining table, his eyes locked onto the tiny miracle in his arms—baby Leo, wearing a pristine white onesie.
