Previously: When a corrupt executive corners Dr. Clara Sterling in a sterile hospital corridor, she fears the worst. But an unexpected hero and his loyal German Shepherd arrive just in time to stop the nightmare.

A Family Shattered by Greed

As Clara leaned against the sterile wall, clutching her bruised arm, she looked at the two men in front of her. The shock of the rescue was quickly replaced by a stunning realization. Leo and Julian shared the same sharp jawline and piercing blue eyes. They were brothers, separated by years of bitter silence and drastically different paths.

"Leo?"

Julian wheezed, clutching his bruised ribs as he struggled to sit up.

"What are you doing here? This is none of your business. Get your mutt away from me!"
"It became my business the moment you laid a hand on a defenseless woman, Julian,"

Leo growled, his hand resting on Rex’s harness. The German Shepherd let out a low, warning rumble.

Clara stepped forward, her voice trembling but resolute. She revealed the dark truth that had driven Julian to such desperate violence. As the head of pediatric research, Clara had uncovered a horrifying secret: Julian’s pharmaceutical firm had knowingly approved a batch of contaminated pediatric medicine to protect their profit margins. When Clara refused to sign off on the safety reports and threatened to go to the federal authorities, Julian had cornered her to steal her encrypted flash drive.

"He wanted to destroy the evidence,"

Clara explained, tears welling in her eyes.

"He was going to ruin thousands of children's lives just to save his stock options."

Julian sneered, his mask of corporate sophistication completely slipping.

"Nobody will believe you, Clara. I own the board, and I own the local authorities. You’re nothing but a disgruntled employee."

But Julian had underestimated his brother. Leo had spent his entire military career fighting for justice, and he wasn't about to let his corrupt brother walk away. Leo reached into his tactical vest, pulling out a small, military-grade recording device that had been active since he burst through the doors.

"They might not believe her alone, Julian,"

Leo said with a cold smile.

"But they will definitely believe your own confession."
