The sterile, white fluorescent lights of St. Jude's Memorial Hospital hummed with a cold, clinical indifference. Dr. Chloe Vance, a dedicated brunette physician clad in light teal scrubs, clutched a thick manila folder to her chest as she backed down the deserted hallway. Her heart hammered against her ribs like a trapped bird. Following her with slow, menacing steps was Thomas, her wealthy and powerful husband. Dressed in an impeccable charcoal grey suit, his face was distorted with a chilling rage.

"Give me the files, Chloe," Thomas hissed, his voice a low, venomous growl. "You think you can play the hero and ruin me? You won't leave this corridor with those papers."

Chloe shook her head, tears blurring her vision. "I know what you did, Thomas. You falsified the clinical trial data. People died because of your greed. I won't let you cover it up anymore."

Losing his patience, Thomas lunged forward. He violently grabbed Chloe’s arm, twisting it until she cried out in pain. The medical charts and patient files she was holding exploded into the air, scattering across the polished tile floor. Chloe lost her footing and crashed hard against the ground. Before she could scramble away, Thomas raised his heavy leather shoe, aggressively stomping his foot near her head in a terrifying show of dominance. "Ahhh! Please, stop!" Chloe screamed, shielding her face as terror overtook her.

Suddenly, the heavy double doors at the end of the hall burst open with a resounding crash. A fierce barking echoed through the corridor. Down the hallway charged Derek, Chloe’s brother and a decorated combat medic, dressed in full desert camo gear. Alongside him was his loyal German Shepherd, Max, baring his teeth. Seeing his sister in mortal danger, Derek’s protective instincts flared. He sprinted with explosive speed, threw a fierce punch that connected squarely with Thomas's jaw, and followed up with a powerful flying kick that sent Thomas crashing backward into a row of plastic waiting chairs.
