"What do you think you're doing?" Beatrice demanded. Logan pointed to a small, inconspicuous black dome nestled in the corner of the ceiling molding. "Before I deployed, I installed a smart security system to keep Grandma safe. It records 24/7, with cloud backup. I have high-definition video of you pouring water on an elderly woman, kicking her, and verbally abusing her. That is felony elder abuse, assault, and domestic violence."

Chloe's face went completely pale. But Logan wasn't finished. "And as for that deed? My grandfather's will clearly states that this house was left to both Margaret and me as co-owners. Grandma couldn't legally sign over the deed without my signature. Your little document is completely worthless, and it’s proof of grand larceny and fraud."

Within twenty minutes, the living room was filled with flashing red and blue lights. The police officers who arrived were horrified by the security footage Logan showed them. Chloe was led out in handcuffs, sobbing and screaming, while Beatrice was arrested as an accomplice to fraud and abuse. The neighborhood watched in silence as the two bullies were finally taken away in police cruisers.

With the house quiet once again, Logan wrapped a warm blanket around Margaret and made her a fresh cup of tea. He knelt beside her, holding her fragile hands in his strong ones. "You'll never have to scrub another floor, Grandma. I'm home for good, and I'm going to take care of you now," he promised. Margaret smiled through her tears, finally feeling safe in her own home.
