Chloe lay sobbing on the stone steps, her previous malice replaced by a calculated display of victimhood. She looked up at Mason with wide, tear-filled eyes, trying to adjust her torn dark blue dress. "You're insane, Mason!" she whimpered, her voice trembling. "I was trying to help her! She was slipping out of her chair, and I lost my grip! You assaulted me!"

Mason didn't budge. He kept himself positioned protectively in front of Eleanor, who was trembling violently, clutching her bruised arm. "I saw what you did, Chloe," Mason said, his voice dangerously low. "You threw her to the ground like trash."

Within minutes, the sound of sirens wailed in the distance. Chloe’s eyes darted around frantically, realizing her lies might not hold up. Mason pulled out his military-grade smartphone and opened an app. "I don't think they'll be arresting me, Chloe," he said, turning the screen to face her. On the display, a crystal-clear, high-definition video feed began to play. It showed not only the brutal attack that had just transpired, but also footage from yesterday—Chloe mocking Eleanor and forcing her to sign legal documents while heavily sedated.
