She stood perfectly balanced, glaring at her husband with venomous eyes. "You just ruined my dress! And you assaulted me in my own home! Martha, tell him he’s crazy! Tell him to get out!"

On the screen was a video recorded earlier that morning through the kitchen window. It showed Chloe dancing energetically to music, carrying heavy boxes up from the basement without a single trace of pain or a limp. She had been completely faking her injury to exploit Martha’s kindness.
But the betrayal went even deeper. Liam unlocked another file on his phone—an audio recording. "I also heard what you whispered to my mother yesterday when you thought I was at work," Liam said, his voice trembling with emotion.
