Previously: When Lily's stepbrother Toby knelt to wash her paralyzed feet, a sudden sensation sparked hope—and exposed a terrifying family conspiracy hidden in plain sight.

A Sinister Discovery

David collapsed onto his knees beside them, gasping for air. He pulled a set of documents from the envelope, his hands shaking violently. He had secretly sent a sample of Lily’s daily herbal tea to an independent toxicology lab after noticing her symptoms worsened only after drinking it. The results were horrifying: the tea was laced with a rare, slow-acting neurotoxin designed to mimic permanent spinal paralysis.

"She was poisoning you, Lily," David choked out, tears of rage in his eyes. "Vivian has been keeping you in this chair."

Before they could process the horror, the patio doors slid open. Vivian stepped out, holding a fresh cup of the toxic brew. Seeing the documents and the confrontational scene, her warm facade instantly vanished, replaced by a cold, calculating glare.

"What is the meaning of this drama?" Vivian demanded, stepping onto the grass.

David stood up, his voice booming with authority.

"It is over, Vivian. The lab found the toxin. I have already called the police," David spat.

Vivian sneered, claiming they had no proof she was the one administering it. She turned to Toby, ordering her son to pack his bags so they could leave. But Toby stood his ground, stepping defensively in front of Lily’s wheelchair.

"No, Mom," Toby said firmly. "I’m not going. I recorded you putting the chemical drops into Lily’s tea. The video is already sent to Dad’s lawyer."

Vivian’s face contorted into a mask of pure fury. Realizing she was trapped, she let out a venomous laugh, looking directly at Lily.

"You think you’ve won? You think your mother’s crash was an accident, Lily? You have no idea what I had to do to secure our inheritance," she hissed.

You have no idea what I had to do to secure our inheritance," she hissed.
