Nicole stopped in her tracks, tears welling in her eyes once more.

“Why are you doing this for a stranger?”

she asked, her voice trembling.

Brandon smiled, and for the first time, the warmth reached his eyes.

“Because today, your baby reminded me of who I used to be. You both gave me my life back. Let me help you start yours.”

Accepting his offer was the easiest decision Nicole had ever made. What started as a leap of faith blossomed into a beautiful partnership.
