Before Judge Richard could compose himself to deliver a ruling, Sophia stood up from her seat in the gallery. Her sudden movement drew the attention of the bailiff, who took a step toward her, but the judge raised a hand to stop him. He gave me a sealed envelope and a key to a safe deposit box, containing their inheritance and a legal declaration naming Levi as Theo's guardian. I was too cowardly to bring it forward until today.
