A Teenager Saves an Injured Biker Only to Realize Who He Really Is
Previously: When nineteen-year-old Tyler stopped to help a crashed biker on a misty country road, he had no idea the injured man wore a patch that held the key to his own forgotten past.
A New Beginning
The lead man stepped forward, his voice dripping with malice. "Well, Silas, it took us a long time to track you down. And look at this—you brought the boy right to us. The family estate will be very pleased to clean up all the loose ends at once."
Tyler felt a surge of fear, but looking at his injured father, something powerful ignited inside him. He stood tall, stepping directly between the armed men and Silas. Remembering Silas’s words—"You're stronger than you think"—Tyler drew himself up. He pulled out his phone, holding it high so they could see the screen.

"I called the state police the moment I saw the crash," Tyler lied smoothly, his voice steady and commanding. "They've been tracking my GPS. In exactly two minutes, this road will be crawling with state troopers. I suggest you get back in your cars and drive."
The men paused, exchanging uneasy glances. The thick fog made the distant sound of the wind sound remarkably like approaching sirens. Sensing the shift in momentum, Silas managed to stand up, leaning heavily on Tyler's shoulder but staring down the men with fierce determination. Realizing the risk was too high, the lead man spat on the ground and signaled his crew. They retreated to their SUVs and sped away into the night, their taillights fading into the mist.
As the silence of the countryside returned, Silas looked at his son with tears of pride in his eyes. "You really are your mother's son," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "And you're stronger than I ever was."
For the first time in his life, Tyler didn't feel like a drifter. He helped his father into the passenger seat of his car, ready to leave the shadows behind and face the future together. Sometimes, the roads we take to run away from our past are the very ones that lead us home to the family we always deserved.
