Previously: When terrified Lily tapped the shoulder of a burly biker in a stormy diner, she wasn't just looking for protection. She was carrying a secret that would change his life forever.

The Clash of Steel and Secrets

The diner's bell chimed as the two men in dark suits stepped inside, shaking the rain from their expensive coats. They scanned the room, their eyes landing instantly on the wall of bikers blocking their path. The lead man, a sharp-featured individual named Marcus, took a step forward, trying to project authority despite being severely outmatched in physical presence. He sneered, looking past Jax's broad shoulders to catch a glimpse of the pink shirt hiding behind him.

"Step aside, gentlemen,"

Marcus said, his voice dripping with condescension.

"The girl belongs with us. Her family is looking for her."

Jax didn't budge an inch. He crossed his massive arms, a dangerous grin spreading across his bearded face.

"She doesn't look like she wants to go with you,"

Jax replied. Cole stepped up beside him, cracking his knuckles in a slow, rhythmic warning. Marcus reached into his breast pocket, but Jax’s hand moved with lightning speed, grabbing Marcus by the collar and lifting him slightly off the ground. The second suit reached for his belt, but Cole and the other bikers immediately surrounded him, their intentions crystal clear.

While the standoff held the room in a breathless grip, Lily reached into her collar and pulled out a silver, heart-shaped locket. With trembling fingers, she popped the clasp open and held it out so Jax could see. Inside was a faded photograph of a young woman with the same auburn hair, smiling next to a much younger, bearded biker on a vintage motorcycle.

"I didn't choose this diner by accident, Jax,"

Lily whispered, her voice cracking with emotion.

"My mother was Sarah. She told me if I was ever in danger, if her greedy brother tried to take my inheritance after she passed, I had to find the Iron Skulls. She told me to find you."

Jax froze. His grip on Marcus’s collar loosened, and his eyes locked onto the tiny photograph. The tough, unyielding exterior of the legendary biker cracked in an instant. Sarah had been his wife—the woman he had sent away twenty years ago to keep her safe from a rival gang war. He had never known she was pregnant when she left. Looking at Lily, he finally saw the truth in her eyes. This wasn't just a stranger. This was his daughter.
