The Shadows of Greed
Arthur stopped dead in his tracks, his confident smirk faltering for a fraction of a second as he looked up at the towering biker. However, Arthur was a man fueled by arrogance and a massive inheritance. He quickly recovered his icy composure, smoothing the lapels of his expensive suit jacket as he stared back at Jax with a hardened, unfazed expression.
"I don't know what kind of game you're playing, buddy," Arthur said, his voice flat and condescending. "But that old woman belongs in a care facility. I have the legal conservatorship papers right here, signed and sealed. Step aside before I have my security guards outside remove you."
Martha shrank back into the vinyl booth, tears finally spilling over her wrinkled cheeks. She knew what those papers meant. If Arthur forced her to sign them, he would gain total control over the historic family farm her late husband had left her. He didn't care about her well-being; he only wanted to sell the land to developers for millions, leaving her homeless and locked away.

Jax didn't flinch. Instead, a cold, mocking smile spread across his face. He reached out and snatched the legal documents straight out of Arthur's hands. Arthur gasped, reaching for them, but Jax's biker brothers instantly stood up from the booth. Five massive, heavily tattooed men surrounded Arthur, their expressions grim and unyielding.
"Let's take a look at these important papers of yours," Jax murmured, slowly flipping through the pages with his thick, tattooed fingers.
Arthur's confidence began to crack. He pulled out his phone, his fingers trembling slightly. "I'm calling the police," he threatened, backing toward the glass exit door. "And my men are coming in right now. You're interfering with a legal family matter!"
Jax chuckled, a dark, rumbling sound that sent shivers down Arthur's spine. He threw the papers onto a nearby table and took another menacing step forward.
"You think you're the first suit to come around here trying to bully an elder?" Jax whispered. "You made a big mistake coming into this diner, legal boy."
