A Mother's Desperate Plea

The opulent boardroom of Titan Capital Headquarters was a stark contrast to the brewing storm outside. Rain lashed against the floor-to-ceiling windows, mirroring the tempest in my own heart. I, Elena, a humble catering maid, stood amidst the chaos, my coarse dress and worn apron a world away from the billionaire luxury surrounding me. Julian, the man who had once held my heart, now stood like a statue of shock, his face a mask of disbelief. Beside him, Victoria, his fiancée, radiated a chilling disdain, her diamond choker glinting menacingly.

Then, there was Leo. A tiny boy, no older than three, dressed in an absurdly expensive velvet tuxedo, his face streaked with tears. He wrenched his small wrist from Victoria’s grasp, his patent-leather shoes skidding on the polished mahogany. His desperate gaze found me, and in that moment, the world outside ceased to exist.

“Mommy, please don’t leave me again!” Leo cried, crashing into my apron, his small arms wrapped tightly around my knees.

My breath caught. Mommy? He was Julian’s son, yes, but he was mine too. The truth, buried for years, threatened to surface. As I collapsed to the floor, pulling Leo into my embrace, the sound of shattering crystal flutes echoed the breaking of my heart. Julian watched, frozen, his aristocratic face draining of color. Victoria, however, saw only a servant defiling the Titan heir.

“Security! Strip that filthy servant’s hands off the Titan heir before she infects him!” Victoria shrieked, her voice dripping with venom.

But Julian’s eyes were fixed on the tarnished silver ring around my neck, a relic of a past he’d tried to erase. His grip tightened on Victoria’s wrist, his voice a lethal whisper that silenced the room.

“Victoria, shut your mouth… she’s not the maid, she’s my wife.”

Victoria’s jaw dropped in horror. Julian’s gaze, however, held a flicker of something I hadn't seen in years. The storm outside raged on, but the real tempest had just begun within these gilded walls.
