Previously: Thrown into the colosseum to be devoured by a monstrous black lion, young Leo prepared for the worst. But when the beast licked his scar, a dark royal secret was exposed.

A New Era Dawns

The sight of the noble beast bleeding on the sand broke the last shred of the crowd's patience. Thousands of angry citizens surged forward, climbing over the stone barriers and flooding into the arena. The royal guards, realizing they were being ordered to slaughter their own people to protect a royal lie, lowered their weapons one by one. They refused to fight for a king who would murder the true savior of their kingdom.

Leo rushed to the fallen lion, gently placing his hand on its wounded shoulder. The beast let out a soft purr as Leo carefully pulled the bolt free, using a strip of his linen tunic to bind the wound. Standing tall, Leo turned to face the royal box, his voice ringing clear and strong across the chaotic arena.

"The crown you wear was bought with lies, Robert! The peace we enjoy was earned with the blood of the innocent, not your false courage!"

The crowd cheered wildly, surrounding the royal box and demanding justice. Seeing that his power had completely evaporated, King Robert dropped to his knees, his crown tumbling into the dirt. High Cleric Thomas fell beside him, weeping and begging for mercy from the very people he had deceived. The high council quickly stepped in, stripping the corrupt leaders of their titles and banishing them from the kingdom forever.

Leo did not seek the throne or the crown; he only wanted the truth to be known. Yet, the people knew who their true protector was. With the loyal black lion recovering by his side, Leo accepted the mantle of the realm's champion, sworn to protect the kingdom with honesty and honor.

In the end, the truth is a flame that cannot be hidden; no matter how deep you bury it, it will always find a way to rise and burn away the shadows of deceit.
