Previously: When nineteen-year-old Ethan stepped into the rodeo ring with a charging bull, the crowd screamed in terror—but he held a secret that would change his family's legacy forever.

The Unveiling of a Betrayal

The silence in the arena was deafening. The crowd looked on in disbelief as the legendary, untamable bull stood peacefully beside the crying teenager. But the awe was short-lived. The heavy metal gate clanged open, and Thomas scrambled into the dirt, flanked by two armed ranch hands. His face was a mask of fury and fear, his eyes locked onto the red bandana in Ethan's trembling hand.

"Ethan! Get away from that monster right now!"
Thomas shouted, stepping forward. But Ranger immediately tensed, stepping protectively in front of Ethan and letting out a low, warning rumble. Thomas froze, his gaze shifting from the bull to the fabric.
"Where did you get that? Your father swore he burned that thing twenty years ago."

Ethan wiped the tears from his eyes, his grip tightening on the bandana.

"He kept it, Thomas. He kept it to remind him of what you did. What does this bandana mean?"
Ethan demanded, his voice growing stronger. He remembered the note his father had left on his deathbed, hinting at a stolen legacy and a staged accident that had ruined his career.

Thomas sneered, his desperate expression turning sinister.

"Your father was a fool who didn't know how to play the game. That bandana was the signal used to drug Ranger during the championship ride twenty years ago. The ride that broke your father's back and made me the owner of this entire ranch."
Thomas signaled the ranch hands, who raised their rifles.
"If you don't hand over that evidence, I'll have them shoot this beast for being 'uncontrollable,' and nobody will ever believe a grieving kid's story."
Ethan realized the horrifying truth: his father's career hadn't ended due to bad luck, but through a cold-blooded betrayal by his closest friend.
