Previously: When eighteen-year-old Chloe stepped into the dusty diner, she didn't expect a simple tattoo to trigger a massive biker standoff and reveal a long-buried family secret.

They burst through the heavy diner doors into the cool night air. The gravel crunched under their boots as Kane guided Chloe toward a matte-black chopper parked at the edge of the lot. But before they could reach it, the diner doors flew open again. Hank and three other burly bikers stepped out, their faces twisted in anger.

"What do you think you're doing, Kane?" Hank spat, stepping forward. "That mark belongs to Marcus. He was a traitor. If she's wearing his brand, she's fair game."

Kane pushed Chloe behind his broad back, his hand resting on the knife at his belt. The neon light cast long, dramatic shadows across the gravel.

The Legacy of Marcus

"Marcus wasn't a traitor, and you know it, Hank," Kane growled, his voice thick with suppressed rage. "He took the fall for the club. He died in prison keeping our secrets safe. And this girl is his daughter."

The revelation hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. Chloe clutched the back of Kane's leather vest, her heart hammering. She had spent her entire life believing her father was a common criminal who had abandoned her. After her mother passed away, she had found an old letter and a drawing of the winged skull, prompting her to get the tattoo and seek out the only people who might know the truth about her past.

Hank hesitated, his tough exterior cracking for a split second. But greed and club politics quickly took over. The club's current leader, a ruthless man named Silas, wanted all remnants of Marcus's bloodline erased to secure his own power.

"Silas wants her, Kane," Hank warned, taking another step. "If you protect her, you're a dead man. Step aside."

Kane didn't flinch. He looked back at Chloe, his eyes softening for a brief moment. He had promised Marcus he would protect his family, a promise he had failed to keep until this very second.
