When Sarah finally opened her eyes, the sterile smell of bleach and the steady beep of a heart monitor confirmed she was in a hospital. Every breath felt like fire in her chest; her ribs were fractured, and her head throbbed violently. A doctor stood over her, his expression grim.

Using a nurse's phone, Sarah logged into her account. Her hands shook as she pulled up the footage. The recording was horrifyingly clear. It showed Martha’s vicious assault and Jack’s brutal kick that sent her through the drywall. But the footage didn't stop there. After Sarah fell unconscious, the camera captured Jack and Martha pacing the nursery.

"Once she is declared mentally incompetent from the 'fall,' her uncle's multi-million dollar trust fund legally transfers to me as Lily's guardian,"

Jack whispered on screen. Martha had smirked, replying,

"And then we can finally rid ourselves of her permanently."
