The tension in the hallway was palpable as Amanda walked toward the administrative wing, her boots clicking rhythmically on the linoleum. Behind her, Ashley and her bruised posse were being escorted by a frantic hall monitor. Within minutes, they were all seated in the principal's office. Principal Vance stared at them over his glasses, his expression grave. Ashley immediately burst into tears, pointing a trembling finger at Amanda.

"She's a monster! She attacked us out of nowhere!"

Ashley sobbed, her lipstick-stained forehead smudging as she tried to wipe it away. The two other girls nodded in frantic agreement, nursing their bruised wrists. Amanda remained perfectly still, her posture straight and her face expressionless. Principal Vance sighed heavily, looking at Amanda's file.

"Amanda, you have a spotless record, but this level of violence is unacceptable. I have no choice but to suspend you,"

he said, reaching for the suspension paperwork. But Amanda didn't flinch. Instead, she reached into her school bag and pulled out a sleek, black flash drive, sliding it across the mahogany desk.

"Before you sign that, Principal Vance, I suggest you look at this,"

Amanda said quietly. The room grew quiet as Vance plugged the drive into his computer. A video began to play, showing Ashley's father handing a thick envelope of cash to a school board member, followed by audio recordings of Ashley boasting about how her family "owned" the school and could get anyone expelled. Ashley's face drained of color as the audio filled the room, revealing a dark web of corruption that went far deeper than high school bullying.
