Richard stepped into the room, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Liam.

"Victoria, don't listen to this boy. He’s just looking for a handout. We have a reputation to protect, and the press is right outside,"

he warned, his voice devoid of empathy. But Victoria wasn't listening to her husband anymore. She saw the guilt written all over Richard's face and knew instantly that he had been the one to intercept Clara’s desperate pleas for help years ago to keep Victoria's past hidden from the public eye.
