My Cruel Boss Fired Me For Helping Freezing Kids—But A Wealthy Customer Saved Us
Previously: When kindhearted waitress Nicole is fired on the spot for feeding two freezing children in the snow, a wealthy customer steps in to teach her cruel boss a lesson he will never forget.
A Grand Revelation
Within minutes, two police cruisers pulled up to the curb, their flashing lights painting the snow in red and blue. Richard looked confused as the officers approached him.
"What is the meaning of this?" Richard stammered. "I am the victim here!"
Mrs. Vance stepped forward, her voice trembling with emotion.

"Richard, you are under arrest for child endangerment and extortion," she said. "I know you’ve been receiving my private investigator’s reports, and I know you threatened my grandchildren to keep them away from me."
Nicole gasped. She looked down at Ethan and Ava, who were looking up at Mrs. Vance with wide, recognizing eyes.
"Grandmother?" Ethan whispered softly.
Mrs. Vance fell to her knees in the snow, wrapping both children in a desperate, loving embrace. She wept openly, kissing their cold cheeks. She explained to Nicole that after her estranged son had passed away, she had been searching tirelessly for Ethan and Ava. Richard, who leased the restaurant building from Mrs. Vance, had discovered the children sleeping nearby weeks ago. Fearing that Mrs. Vance would focus her wealth on her grandchildren rather than investing in his restaurant expansion, Richard had threatened the children, telling them their grandmother would have them locked up if they ever approached her.
The police led a shouting Richard away in handcuffs. Mrs. Vance stood up, wiping her tears, and turned to Nicole.
"You showed them mercy when the world showed them nothing but coldness," Mrs. Vance said, her eyes shining with gratitude. "You saved my family tonight, Nicole."
Mrs. Vance immediately hired Nicole as the general manager of her foundation's new community kitchen, offering her a salary three times what Richard had paid her, along with a beautiful apartment. Ethan and Ava finally had a warm home, a loving grandmother, and a bright future ahead of them.
True kindness is a light that can never be extinguished, and sometimes, the warmth you give to others is the very thing that rescues you.
