Previously: A young waitress's life shatters when a mob lieutenant assaults her in an airport lounge. But the arrival of a powerful Don changes everything, leading to a terrifying confrontation and a twist of fate.

A Dangerous Bargain

The tarmac runway lights, now flaring through the rain-streaked glass, cast wet, distorted reflections across Brock's pinned, bruised face. David Holloway leaned down, his own face mere inches from Brock's nose, the air crackling with menace. He pressed a heavy gold signet ring hard into Brock's jugular, the pressure immense, a silent promise of lethal force. Tommy, still reeling from the assault and the subsequent display of power, watched from a distance, her hand covering her split lip, her eyes wide with a terrifying mix of shock and awe. David Holloway’s voice, when he spoke, was a chilling, razor-sharp whisper, each word deliberately articulated. "Apologize on your knees, or your corpse stays on this runway." Brock, tears of mortal terror streaming down his temples, trembled uncontrollably beneath the Don's lethal gaze. His body spasmed, not from pain, but from sheer, unadulterated fear. He could feel the life ebbing from him, the cold reality of his impending demise pressing in. Finally, with a ragged, choked sound, he managed a desperate, broken plea, falling to his knees amidst the debris of the shattered table. "I… I apologize… forgive me… please…" David Holloway released his grip, stepping back slowly. He looked not at Brock, but at Tommy. A faint, almost imperceptible smile touched his lips. "Are you alright, miss?" he asked, his voice now calm, almost gentle. He turned back to the cowering Brock. "You will compensate this young lady for her trouble. Generously. And then you will leave my sight, and my organization, forever. Understand?" Brock, a pathetic, broken man, could only nod frantically, scrambling away on hands and knees. David Holloway then extended a hand towards Tommy. "Perhaps," he said, his eyes holding a depth she couldn't fathom, "you are looking for a change of pace. I find myself in need of a new personal assistant. You have a strong spirit, Tommy. You handled yourself with… resilience." Tommy stared, bewildered, the offer hanging in the air, a stark contrast to the violence she had just witnessed. From a waitress assaulted by a mob lieutenant to a potential offer from the Don himself. As David Holloway met her gaze, she saw not just power, but a chilling ambition that made her blood run cold. This was not a rescue; it was the beginning of a dangerous game, and she was now the unwitting pawn.

"Apologize on your knees, or your corpse stays on this runway."

The encounter left Tommy shaken but alive, stepping into a future far more complex and perilous than she could have ever imagined. The rain outside continued to fall, washing the marble clean, but the stains of that night would linger forever.
