A Wealthy Businessman Buys A Bistro To Reward The Elderly Waitress Who Saved Him
Previously: When a wealthy businessman recognizes an elderly waitress as the woman who saved his life during his darkest childhood days, he decides to completely rewrite her future.
The Cruel Manager's Mistake
Before Thomas could finish his sentence, the loud, abrasive voice of the restaurant manager cut through the emotional silence of the dining room. Mr. Henderson, a pompous man who prided himself on catering only to the elite, marched over with a scowl. He grabbed Clara roughly by her shoulder, pulling her away from Thomas's table.
"What do you think you are doing, Clara?"Henderson sneered, his voice dripping with condescension.
"How dare you bother our VIP guests with your pathetic sob stories? You are a servant here, not a beggar. Get back to the kitchen!"
Clara shrank back, her eyes filling with fresh tears. "I'm sorry, Mr. Henderson," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I didn't mean toβ"
"Save it,"Henderson snapped, turning to Thomas with a sycophantic smile.
"My deepest apologies, Mr. Thomas. This old woman is incompetent and clearly losing her mind. I am firing her immediately. Security will escort her off the premises so she doesn't ruin your dining experience any further."
The entire restaurant grew deathly quiet. Several wealthy patrons turned to watch the drama unfold, expecting the powerful billionaire to demand her removal. Instead, Thomas's expression hardened into ice. The warmth in his eyes vanished, replaced by a cold, commanding fury that made Henderson's smile falter.
Thomas stepped forward, placing himself directly between Clara and the manager.
"You will not touch her,"Thomas said, his voice low but carrying a terrifying weight.
"And you will certainly not fire her."
Henderson chuckled nervously, adjusting his tie.
"Sir, I appreciate your charity, but she is just a low-wage waitress. I run this establishment, and I have the authority toβ"
"You don't run anything anymore, Henderson,"Thomas interrupted, holding up the brass key ring he had just placed in Clara's hand.
"This key ring belongs to the master set of this entire building. I bought this bistro three hours ago. And Clara is your new boss."
