The rich, warm scent of oak wood and expensive red wine filled the dining room of Le Miroir, one of the city's most exclusive establishments. Vincent, a distinguished man in his late fifties wearing a tailored charcoal suit, walked slowly through the dining area. To anyone watching, he was the picture of absolute success—a self-made real estate mogul with millions in the bank. But beneath his polished exterior, Vincent carried the heavy scars of a childhood spent in the brutal cold of the streets.

As he neared the grand fireplace, an elderly waitress carrying a heavy silver tray stepped into his path. She stumbled slightly, her grip tightening on the tray. "Excuse me, sir," she murmured, her voice soft and trembling with exhaustion.

Vincent stopped. He looked down at her. She was a frail Caucasian woman, her silver-grey hair tied back under a dark apron. But it wasn't her age that caught his attention. It was her eyes. They were a striking, deep amber color—eyes he had seen in his dreams and nightmares for over thirty years.

Suddenly, the luxurious restaurant faded away. In Vincent's mind, the warm lights were replaced by a freezing, rainy night in a dark alleyway. He was a starving fifteen-year-old boy, shivering in the mud, waiting for the end. A young woman had knelt beside him. She had only a single loaf of bread, yet she broke it and handed him the larger piece.

"You eat first," she had whispered with a gentle smile.

Back in the present, a single tear escaped Vincent's eye and rolled down his cheek. He looked at the elderly waitress, his heart pounding. "It was you," he whispered, gently taking the heavy tray from her hands and setting it aside. He reached into his pocket, pulled out a set of brass keys, and pressed them into her worn, calloused palm. "You fed me when no one else would."

Helen stared at the keys, shaking her head in emotional disbelief. "No... it can't be," she whispered. Vincent held her hands tightly. "You'll never work another day, because this place..."
