As Arthur stepped out of the shadows, the dim garage light caught his face, and Christopher’s heart stopped. "Mr. Sterling?"

"This boy is my son, Ryan,"

Arthur interrupted, his voice cutting through the garage like a razor.

Christopher went pale. His mind raced as he realized the catastrophic mistake he had just made. The multi-million dollar merger that was supposed to save his struggling company from bankruptcy was now entirely in Arthur's hands.

"Mr. Sterling, please, I was only looking out for my daughter. I didn't know Ryan was your heir! If I had known—"

"If you had known, you would have treated him with respect?"
