A Wealthy Man Laughed at a Poor Boy's Promise, But One Touch Changed Everything

Thomas Vance was a man who believed that everything in this world had a price tag. After a devastating car accident five years ago left him paralyzed from the waist down, his cynicism only grew. He poured his frustration into building a multi-million-dollar empire, becoming a ruthless figure in the corporate world. To Thomas, weakness was a liability, and pity was an insult.

On a busy Tuesday afternoon, Thomas sat at his reserved corner table at Bistro 21, an exclusive high-end restaurant. He was nursing a glass of expensive scotch, waiting for his business partner, Richard. Suddenly, a shadow fell over his table. Thomas looked up, expecting a waiter, but instead found a young boy standing before him.

The boy, who couldn't have been more than ten years old, looked completely out of place. His face was smudged with dirt, and he wore a faded, oversized shirt that hung loosely off his small frame. Thomas frowned, his eyes narrowing in skepticism.

"What do you want, boy?" Thomas asked coldly.

The boy didn't flinch. He pointed directly at Thomas’s legs.

"Sir, can I heal your legs?" he asked earnestly.

Thomas let out a harsh, incredulous chuckle. He gestured mockingly at his custom wheelchair.

"You? If you make me walk, I'll give you a million dollars," Thomas sneered.

He expected the boy to run away, but instead, the child took a step closer. Before Thomas could call security, the boy placed his small, warm hands firmly on Thomas’s knees.

"This is ridiculous," Thomas muttered, reaching to push the boy away.

The boy looked up, his bright blue eyes filled with an ancient calmness.

"Trust me," the boy whispered.

Instantly, a violent jolt of pure warmth surged through Thomas's legs. His eyes widened in absolute shock. He gasped for air, clutching the armrests of his wheelchair.

"What did you do to me?" Thomas whispered in disbelief.
