A Wheelchair-Bound Girl Confronts a Scarred Biker with Her Late Mother's Secret Card
Previously: When Macy tracked down a rugged biker in a dim diner, she only had a faded card and a scar to go on. What he revealed changed her life forever.
Unveiling the Hidden Truth
Jack looked down at the faded card. It was a hand-drawn birthday invitation from twenty years ago, decorated with a small, distinct emblem of a silver wing—the exact same emblem tattooed on Jack's forearm, hidden beneath his flannel sleeve. His rough, calloused fingers trembled as he touched the paper. When he looked up, the coldness in his eyes had melted into a pool of raw, agonizing sorrow.
Before Jack could speak, Arthur rushed over from the background, his face flushed with panic. "Macy, get away from him!" Arthur yelled, grabbing the handles of her wheelchair to pull her back. "This man is a criminal! He's the reason your mother is gone!"
Jack stood up, his massive frame towering over Arthur. The sheer physical presence of the biker made Arthur instantly freeze.
"Sit down, Arthur,"Jack growled, his voice deep and raspy.
"You’ve been telling lies for twenty years. It’s time the girl heard the truth."
Macy looked between her grandmother Helen, who was now weeping silently into her hands, and Arthur, her stepfather, whose arrogant facade was rapidly crumbling. "What truth?" Macy demanded, her heart hammering against her ribs. "Arthur told me you caused the car crash that killed my mother and paralyzed me! He said you ran us off the road!"
Jack shook his head, a bitter smile crossing his scarred face. He pulled back his sleeve, revealing the silver wing tattoo.
"I didn't run you off the road, kiddo. I was the one who pulled you out of the burning car,"he said softly.
"Your stepfather, Arthur, was driving drunk that night. He fled the scene to save his own skin, leaving you and your mother trapped. I was riding behind you. I dragged you out of the backseat just before the fuel tank blew. This scar? I got it from the shattering glass when I broke the window to reach you."
Macy gasped, turning her eyes to Arthur, who looked utterly defeated.
