The Ultimate Humiliation

The afternoon sun poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the grand estate, casting a golden glow over a scene of sheer cruelty. Victoria stood in the center of the luxurious living room, her black designer dress contrasting sharply with her cold, emotionless face. Beneath her, kneeling on the polished hardwood floor, was Helen. Helen, a gentle middle-aged woman dressed in a simple white dress, held a cloth, her hands trembling as she polished Victoria’s expensive leather shoe.

In the background, Julian, Helen’s son and Victoria’s fiancé, stood frozen in horror. He had just walked into the room, expecting to discuss wedding plans, only to witness his mother being subjected to the ultimate degradation.

"Since you love acting like the queen of this house, polish my shoes and learn your real place," Victoria sneered, her voice dripping with venom.

Helen looked up, tears streaming down her pale cheeks. "My husband built this house for us," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. "Every stone, every room... we put our lives into this."

Victoria scoffed loudly, stepping back slightly to admire the shine Helen had just produced. "Maybe now you'll stop pretending this house is yours. Once Julian and I marry, you are nothing but a guest. A temporary one, at that."

Before Julian could find his voice to intervene, the heavy oak front door opened. Thomas, the family’s trusted elderly lawyer, stepped into the room. He wore a sharp charcoal suit and carried a thick leather folder. His expression was grim as he looked at Victoria, then down at Helen.

"Actually," Thomas announced, his voice echoing through the silent room, "this entire property transferred to her alone the morning your engagement contract was signed."

Victoria froze, her smirk evaporating instantly. "What did you just say?" she whispered, the color draining from her face.
