She Forced Her Fiancé’s Mother to Kneel, But the Lawyer’s Document Changed Everything
Previously: Victoria thought she could humiliate her fiancé's gentle mother to assert dominance in her new home. But a sudden arrival by the family lawyer turned her cruel triumph into an absolute nightmare.
The Table Turns
Julian gently helped his mother to her feet, wrapping a protective arm around her shoulders. "I am so sorry, Mom," he whispered, his voice thick with regret. "I should have seen who she really was. I should have protected you."
Turning to Victoria, Julian’s expression hardened into ice. "Our engagement is over," he said, his voice calm but absolute. "Take your things and get out of my mother's house."
Victoria gasped, her face twisting in fury. "You can't do this to me, Julian! We have a contract! I will sue you for everything you have!" she shrieked, her voice echoing off the high ceilings.
Thomas stepped forward, a cold smile playing on his lips. "I welcome you to try, Victoria. But as the family attorney, I assure you that any legal action you attempt will only expose your fraudulent intentions. Furthermore, Helen has the right to file harassment charges against you for what happened today."
Helen wiped her tears, standing tall and proud in her white dress. She looked at Victoria, no longer with fear, but with pity. "You thought wealth gave you the right to trample on others," Helen said softly. "But true dignity cannot be bought, and it cannot be taken away by someone like you. Please leave my home."
Realizing she had lost everything—her wealthy fiancé, the magnificent mansion, and her social standing—Victoria grabbed her designer handbag and stormed out of the house, slamming the heavy oak door behind her.
Julian hugged his mother tightly, promising to spend the rest of his life making up for his mistakes. In the end, greed destroyed Victoria's golden future, proving that those who try to humble others will always find themselves brought down to the ground.
