A Wealthy Father Humiliated My Son, But He Had No Idea Who I Was
The Arrogant Father's Mistake
The air inside the auto service bay was thick with the scent of motor oil, exhaust, and unearned superiority. Richard stood in his charcoal suit, his designer aviators reflecting the bright, sterile fluorescent lights of the garage. He looked completely out of place, yet he carried himself like he owned the entire city. Below him, Toby, a young mechanic in dark blue overalls, wiped his grease-stained hands on a rag, trying to maintain his composure.
Richard sneered, stepping closer into Toby's personal space.
"How can my daughter ever want someone like you? I will never allow her to marry a man like you,"Richard spat, his voice dripping with venom. Before Toby could even reply, Richard’s hand flew out, striking the young man across the face. The force of the blow left a glaring red welt on Toby's neck. Toby looked down, clenching his fists, forcing himself not to retaliate against his girlfriend’s father.
Suddenly, the high-pitched screech of tires echoed through the garage. A sleek, dark metallic grey SUV pulled directly into the service bay, stopping just inches from where they stood. The door opened, and Charles, a distinguished older gentleman of sixty, stepped out. He wore a perfectly tailored charcoal suit that screamed old money and absolute authority. His eyes immediately locked onto the red welt on Toby’s neck.
"Who did this?"Charles demanded, his voice low, steady, and terrifyingly calm.
Toby slowly raised his hand, pointing a finger directly at the smug older man.
"He did,"Toby said quietly.
Charles turned his gaze to Richard, his eyes narrowing into cold slits.
"You hit my son?"he asked.
Richard, completely unfazed and still smiling smugly, adjusted his sunglasses. But Charles stepped closer, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper:
"You just made the biggest mistake of your life."
