The grand ballroom of the Henderson estate was a sea of shimmering silk, expensive tuxedos, and polite laughter. To the outside world, Thomas and Sarah Henderson were the epitome of high-society perfection. But beneath the glittering chandeliers, a silent storm was brewing. Thomas, a devoted father with tired eyes, knelt on the polished marble floor. He ignored the whispers of the elite guests as he took the trembling hands of his six-year-old son, Leo. Thomas looked into his son's tear-filled eyes and asked gently,

Elena kept her head lowered, but her hands trembled as Leo stepped forward and clutched her arm.

Thomas looked up, his eyes suddenly swimming with tears. Leo sobbed, tears streaming down his flushed cheeks.

"Elena sang to me when I was alone in the hospital,"

the boy cried, his voice echoing in the vast room.

A collective gasp rippled through the crowd. An older woman in the background covered her mouth in shock. Sarah’s confident smile vanished, replaced by a mask of cold fury. She stepped forward, her voice sharp.

"Children lie when they are scared, Thomas. He doesn't know what he's saying."

But Leo, looking directly at his mother with a bravery he had never shown before, cried out,
